Our industry leaders are still projecting another amazing year in real estate in 2019.. Although we’ve had a rise in inventory over the past year, we are still well below the number of homes needed for the large supply of buyers.

For anyone who is thinking about selling, it’s projected that home values will still continue to appreciate about 2% over the next couple years—not the large appreciation that we have seen over the last couple years, but a steady, consistent, and sustainable growth.

 

 

  

Although interest rates are higher than we’ve seen in the last year or so, they are still historically low.

 

 


If you’re thinking about buying a home, more inventory means more choices. Interest rates are projected to increase a little throughout the year, so if possible, buying sooner rather than later can save you a little money.

Now, although interest rates are higher than we’ve seen in the last year or so, they are still way lower than when I was selling homes in the beginning of my career, when buyers were purchasing homes with double-digit interest rates.
